How to download data

Query the AAT Archive to select rows from the archive database (follow the Querying the AAT Archive article for more details).

In this example, we have queried for 2dF + AAOmega observations between 2013-02-12 and 2013-02-14.

Table of results

To download all observation rows (plus fibre rows if your query included 2DF), click one of the formats (csv, ascii, VOTable etc) in the download panel.

Archive observation files

To download observation and calibration files, click the [+] plus button of the row that you wish to retrieve files for. Please note that only the top 1000 rows are returned to the browser, and so you may download a maximum of 1000 observations per query. If you would like to retrieve a larger volume of data, filter your query (e.g., by date range) and run multiple queries to the AAT Archive.

When you have selected the rows to download, press the Package row(s) button (ensure you are either logged-in or provide an email address first). Data Central will email you a task ID which has been dispatched on your behalf. Once the files have been gathered and packaged, you'll receive a second email letting you know that the task is complete and your data are ready to download.

What data will I receive?

The data retrieved from the archive is dependent on the instrument (see table below). If you have any queries or suggestions for improvement, please contact us.

Restrictions

The AAT Archive is under development, some restrictions currently apply:

• Data prior to 1 Jan 2006 will not include calibration files.
